Privacy Policy

David Cho Immigration Law (“the Firm,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of website visitors, prospective clients, current clients, and authorized staff users of the David Cho CRM iOS application. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

Through davidchoimmigration.com and our chatbot

  • Name, email, phone, preferred language, country of origin, and the description you provide when you submit a consultation request.
  • Anonymized analytics data (pages viewed, referring source, device type) through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. We do not sell this data.

Through the David Cho CRM iOS application (staff only)

  • Staff user’s email address, name, and assigned user ID — for sign-in and to display the user inside the app.
  • A secure session cookie stored locally on the staff member’s device to keep them signed in.
  • The app does not access location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, motion, health, or biometric data.
  • The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers.

2. How we use information

  • To respond to consultation requests and provide legal services after engagement.
  • To authenticate staff members of the firm and operate our internal CRM.
  • To meet our professional, ethical, and legal obligations as Florida-licensed attorneys.
  • To improve the website experience through anonymized analytics.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to:

  • Provide legal services (e.g., filings with USCIS, the National Visa Center, the Department of Labor, or immigration court).
  • Comply with court orders, subpoenas, or legal obligations.
  • Operate the technical infrastructure of our website, chatbot, and CRM, with vendors bound by confidentiality.

4. Attorney-client privilege

Submitting a form on this website does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon a signed engagement letter. Please do not send confidential or sensitive documents until the firm requests them through a secure channel.

5. Data retention

We retain inquiry and client data as long as needed to provide legal services and comply with Florida Bar record-keeping rules. Anonymized analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (14 months).

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at contact@davidchoimmigration.com or (321) 984-0742. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and similar jurisdictions have additional privacy rights under their state laws, which we honor.

7. iOS App Privacy (David Cho CRM)

The David Cho CRM iOS application (“the App”) is a private staff application for authorized members of David Cho Immigration Law. It is published on the Apple App Store and used only by attorneys and paralegals of the firm.

Data the App collects

  • Email address — used solely to sign in the staff member. Linked to the staff member. Not used for tracking.
  • Name — used to display the staff member’s identity inside the app. Linked to the staff member. Not used for tracking.
  • User ID — internal identifier to maintain the staff member’s session. Linked to the staff member. Not used for tracking.

Data the App does NOT collect

  • No location data (precise or coarse)
  • No camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, motion, health, or biometric data
  • No advertising identifier (IDFA)
  • No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs
  • No device identifiers beyond what iOS provides for its own session management
  • No browsing or search history

How the App handles data

  • Connects only to davidcho-crm.pplx.app over HTTPS — no other endpoints.
  • Stores a single secure session cookie locally to keep staff signed in across launches; this cookie is encrypted with iOS’s standard storage and removed on logout.
  • The App is a viewer/editor for case data the firm already holds on its CRM server. The App does not collect end-client data directly from the iOS device. End-client data is governed by sections 1–6 above.

Tracking

The App does not track users across other apps and websites. It does not share data with data brokers. No data collected by the App is linked with information from other apps or websites for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. CRM session cookies are HTTPOnly with the __Host- prefix. Staff devices are required to maintain a screen lock. No system is perfectly secure; please report any concerns to the contact below.

9. Children

This website and the iOS application are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
